Originally formed in 1966 by Roy Pearce and his son Kevin Pearce, they made their first entry " Musketeers " in the local juvenile mounted section. At the time they lived in Marina Row in Bridgwater. Then the club was called "Marina Juvenile Carnival club" They were based at the Bunch Of Grapes pub.

In 1981 then based at Sydenham Community Centre, they were asked if they would change the name to " Marina Sydenham Community Centre Juvenile Carnival Club " ! Surprisingly they refused but thankfully a compromise was reached and the club was renamed as it is today.

Sarah  joined in 1982 for  " The Runaway Train "and Richard Humphrey the year after for "A Day at the Fair " Although they never took over the running of the club until 1986.

In 1988 the cart building plot was moved to Bristol Road and in 1989 we moved to our present site. Having moved to the Commercial in the early 90's, we then moved to the Volunteer Arms in 1997 Nicky Lewis started making the costumes in1997, up until then Rita Day had made them.
